Empathy for Humans

February 11 @ 9:00 am - 3:00 pm

This is a one day NVC workshop in Albany, WA, for beginner or intermediate level Nonviolent Communication.
Learn how to do empathy and stabilise your relationships in this communication workshop with Rachel Pontin. We’ll cover the basics of Nonviolent Communication. You can apply this to parenting, intimate relationships, family, workplaces, strangers or your own relationship with yourself. It’s the most useful tool for all relationships.
NVC is a set of practical skills, a mindset and a framework for creating live-serving relationships. It has been used worldwide in schools, governments, prisons, military, businesses and community groups as a powerful tool to mediate conflict, de-escalate violence and promote peace and harmony. Find out more about NVC at https://www.cnvc.org/
Increase your capacity to stay present. Transform enemy image. Lean into conflict. Stay connected more & reconnect faster after conflict. Soften attachment to your painful story.
Rachel’s facilitation is NVC-based and informed by neuroscience, resonant language and 17 years of live practice.
Lunch and take-home resources provided.
There is an opportunity to attend a fortnightly practice group following the workshop so you can really embed the learning. Regular practice in a supportive environment helps to grow and strengthen the new brain pathways.
“Thanks for reigniting the NVC fire.’ Teacher, Woodbury Boston Primary School
